Well, battery for my Ak was back ordered, so it looks like I'm running sniper. And "Crazy guy with pistol" (Got repair parts, now have 3 mags for the M9!). I'm gonna die... a lot. But, good news is it looks like my ghillie suit is a huge success!

As some of you know, I have an inner ear condition called "Meniere's"
Every once and a while I have an attack.Today happened to be that day.

If you guys want to have this OP on the 26th just post up. I still have to clear it with Alpine 1st but wanted to see if any interest?
This time, I will go over the OP with Alpine, and Tinman before hand so in the event I become a vegetable for the day, the OP will still take place.

I have made makeshift chest rigs (cheesy but will get the job done) for players wanting to be Cyborgs. These rigs have detachable Velcro CD's that represent CPU"s, that can be easily be replaced when broken. A designated team Engineer will be able to repair Cyborgs that have fallen on the field. Again this OP will work best with the use of Field radios as most of the Objectives are scavenger hunt type missions. Finding written Intel on the field that leads to the next Objective and then the next. Using radios will allow you to direct your team to the next objective without letting the OPFOR know.

A mobile respawn and Bullet proof shield will be used at some point of the game and
How bout a Shape shifting Mole to worry about....sound fun?

Looks to be a decent head count for this. Maybe 20+ cheers Weather looks AWESOME! 70 degree and sunny.
If my buds from work come, I may need a couple loaner guns if any one can spare?
Two of my guns are down at the moment.

Those who want to play a cyborg role better pad up good as you will be getting the fury of plastic throughout the day.



Cyborg rules

Level one Cyborgs are to "WALK ONLY" unless otherwise instructed by Refs.
NOTE: Level two will be able to move faster.

Level one Cyborgs are on the hunt. They can not camp. If they see an enemy,
they must pursue that enemy but can switch targets at any time.

Cyborgs are allowed to take cover, but are NOT allowed to fire on the enemy from behind cover.
The CPU must be visible to the enemy he is engaging. If CPU is not visible, this will be considered "blind firing" Cyborgs will be able to move side to side or turn their back towards the enemy but can NEVER cover their CPU with their hand or gun.
NOTE: This Rule is for Level one and two Metal and will be watched closely.

CPU (CD) Must be at least half broken before the cyborg is inoperative. (chips and cracks don't disable metal.)

If a Cyborgs lays hands on an enemy, he is dead. The only way to safety kill a Cyborg is to rip the CPU from his chest.

Level one Cyborgs can NOT communicate with anyone. They have a low intelligence and are in Termination mode.

When disabled on the field, Cyborgs must sit down where they were stopped. An appointed Engineer will have a Medical bag with CPU's
to repair them. The Engineer just has to lay hands the Cyborg to move him to the closest cover for repairs. If Engineer is hit during a rescue or repair, normal respawn rules apply for the Engineer. Cyborg must wait for another attempted rescue.

NOTE: Level two Cyborgs will be able to repair themselves twice before an Engineer is needed.

Anyone can be an Engineer at any time as long as they have possession of the medical bag.

Rules are subject to change throughout the day.

YES! It is extremely easy if you can hit it. May not be so easy to hit a moving target that size.

"I will just walk backwards to my enemy then turn around and shoot"
If you feel like having 1,000 bb's hit your back and legs at 400 fps, well go for it.
It will be smart to have your squad surround the Cyborg if possible to hit them from all angles.

Good question. Number of Cyborgs will depend on how many players show up.
Human Rebels should out number Cyborgs 2 or 3 to 1. Players can switch up roles during a game if they want to.
Cyborg team will consist of humans also.
We will try it a few different ways throughout the day to get it right.
There will be perks for the Rebels like mobile respawn and bullet proof shield at some point in the game. The plan is to make sure everyone has fun. If one team starts to completely dominate the day, It is Refs discretion to change rules anytime during a game.
Radios will work good to coordinate attacks against Metal.

Questions from Leo

I'm guessing this means that the CD will need to be visible to the enemy in order for a Cyborg to fire behind cover? Couple questions about this:

** Where is the CD located? (If you cannot disclose that information let me know).

** Huge honor system problem here in my humble opinion. Cyborgs will need to be honorable players...not someone who will shoot from behind the cover and then yell "I know you can see my CPU!!!!" How will Referees know that the player can see the CPU?

** Also, will Cyborgs at ANY level be allowed to use a shield? Or is our "Armor" just going to be the armor we can put on our actual person? Dragon and I made a couple of Boogie Boards into shields for a game a few months ago that never came to fruition.

** What kind of melee weapons are allowed for Cyborgs? Any?

XRay Vision, (see behind bunkers i.e. Refs call out where enemy players are via request from Level 3 Cyborg every ~ seconds), Bunker Busters, Super strength? Just curious as to what Level 3s get exactly, and last question...How do you even become Level 3?

If any of my questions are going to be explained at the OP itself, or cannot be disclosed, just let me know so I can shut my mouth.


Answers

There will be a close eye on Cyborgs as far as cover goes. I was going to make the rule "No cover for Cyborgs" but figured they may need to take a break from getting pelted once an a while. For the most part, Refs are to keep the Metal moving and yes, the player has to be honest.
Cyborgs should always be on the hunt, and in terminator mode.

The CPU's will be located on the chest of the Cyborg using a makeshift vests i have made. I made 11 of these.

No shield for Cyborgs...It would be to easy for a Cyborg to cover his CPU. If you would like to armor your self up to keep the welts down, Go for it. You will not have any hand held shields.

Melee weapons will be your hand. If a Cyborg lays a hand on a human consider the Human Crushed

Level 3 will be introduced towards the end of the day in a sorta twist.

Level 3 Metal: Invincible, Can Run, communicate, and shape shift

Anyone who may think they want to play a cyborg role may want to armor up.
Both teams at some point int the day will have Cyborgs fighting with them.
Pwny Leo and Stick have made makeshift body armor to keep the welts down.
