Alright, I was wondering if the 590mm barrels "for the PSG1" could be used with any other AEG (my AK47 specifically), or if it was a different type of barrel that only works with the PSG1.

Never mind, I found a 650mm barrel for AEG's. Now I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to get more or less fps with this...

From what I know about barrels and it isn't a great deal, the new barrel isn't going to actually increase FPS, moreso making your BBs sail a little bit farther. The small area around the BB from the smaller barrel creates more of a push for each BB, thus making it go farther (in theory). So I suppose if you want to count distance as FPS, which most people do because the higher FPS the more powerful your gun is to propel the BB, it increases the distance the BB travels. Actual Feet Per Second is increased by upgrading the internals of your gun like gears piston and box. I think I'm right here or on the right track but anyone can step in and correct me. But if it's higher FPS you want, I wouldn't be focused on the barrel as much as my internals.

I'm not necessarily going for higher fps, I was just wondering if a longer, tighter barrel affects it any. My overall goal is better range and accuracy, which I know doesn't always mean better fps. Oh, the barrel I found is a $40 MadBull barrel. Anyone know if that's a good brand or not?
