The planning stages have already started for the next big game slated for September 10, 2011.

Op 9-10-11 RTK (Release The Kraken)

It's going to be a big game with a big weapon. I already have some solid confirmations on help toward this ref intensive game. Your going to want to make this game. With over a month lead in time, put this one down on your calendar. This will be one of the last big Op games before the new season starts at Area-13. Don't be the one to miss out on it.

More information to come in the weeks ahead.

Professor Grady Lincoln Underwood was considered brilliant if not a wee bit eccentric by his peers. The same eccentricity lead Professor Underwood down not so beaten paths. After making quite a few breatkthrough discoveries he was rewarded... monetarily speaking beyond his wildest dreams. After a while the good Professor tired of the rigid world of corporate backed idea mongering and deadlines and took his sizable amount of weath and struck out on his own.

It wasn't long before the Professor's adventerous nature took him down a new path that led to a valley long forgotten by most folks in the modern world. The almost primitive nature of the people that lived in the lush valley fanned the flmaes deep within the Professor of what if's and could be's.

A decade later the Valley was a thriving if not still secluded area where the Professor could carry out some of his most ambitious experiments. The fanatical following garnered by his virtious actions toward the people of the valley left him with a loyal following. One such follower was taken under the Professor's wing almost to the point of being a serogate son, and learned under the constant guidance from the wise, studious man.

As with most things, time, envy, and an eventual power struggle led to infighthing between the Professor and his favored "son" who had taken on the name of Prax. In better times between the Professor and Prax inventions worked on between the pair that filtered out into the real world and brought back renumeration to the area now known as the Glu Valley both men continues to pile up a considerable amount of weath.

As both men continued to argue over certain ideas and ways best to procede, encroahment by the real worlders saw both men put their differences aside for a time and work on defensive weapons in order to keep the Glu Valley secure. The culminathion of the two's efforts ended in a weapon known as "The Kraken" which would serve as the Glu Valey's ultimate deterrent toward any hostile act that would come upon the region. Upon finalization of the new weapon both men swore an oath to never use the weapon unless it was a means of last resort. You now how oathes go?

Looking back over some of the accomplishments of the Professor (gene splicing, DNA splitting and replication, cell augmentations) followed by the co-founded gains brought about by both the Professor and Prax (DNA hybrids, coagulated blood super cells and the devastating NCO Necrotic Cell Overlaod....the stage was finally set for the ultimate power struggle.

An ever growing sense of paranoia slolwy but surely took over the thought process of Professor Underwood and he formed a Personal Elite Watch to keep him safe from not only Prax but a small and growing contingent of followrs loyal to Prax who had now taken up residence on the far side of the Glu Valley.

Op Nine Ten Eleven picks in the weeks following the assassination of Professor Grady Lincoln Underwood by the Oath Breakers led by Prax. The stage is set between the PEW and The Oath Breakers. The Kraken Guard Bureau will need to be eliminated and in order for the location of The Kraken to be divulged. I just wanted to get the ball rolling on the back story for this Op. It nothing else it should ad some depth. I hope eveyrone that attends has fun. I think it has the potential to be a good day of airsoft. Looking forward to being a part of putting this on for everyone at Area-13. Note: Please disregard any typos or mispelled words. As always when I get on a roll I just want to get it out there.

OKC has a CQB wharehouse that is 150,000 sqf I am going to check it out!

This Op will be a radio intensive game. If you have a radio, make sure it's part of your kit for the day. Radio's will be every bit as valuable as your weapons for the day. One player per team will be allowed to monitor U.N.I.T.E.D (Universal Navigation Intelligence Tactical Equipment Device) which is a sattelite put in place by Professor Underwood and Prax in friendlier times. This Op will be a departure from the norm in so far as it will have many layers of strategy. The first game will be the closest game to a run and gun style game all day. The other games will be more indepth and offer to keep ones head in the game.

The following is a brief outline of the games for the day and the time limits for each.

Game 1 Skullduggery Time limit: 45 minutes. Skulls will be placed on the battlefield and each side will have 45 mintues to secure as many skulls as possble. You can also take control of the opposite teams skulls if you find their stash. Whatever you can find in 45 minutes. Just be mindful of securing your own skull stash. Upon finish of Game 1 drop off your skulls at the ref tent and the DNA chip will be fed to UNITED for rendering and Upgrades or Weapons will be deployed to the battlefield prior to the start of Game 3.

Game 2 Knowledge Is Power Time limit: 45 minutes. A small force of KGB operatives will have to be nuetralized. Once the operatives have been nuetralized you will have to physically search for intel that will guide you to either QCBC's (Quick Charge Battery Cells) which will serve to cut down on The Kraken re-charge time (more on that the day of the Op) and The Kraken itself. Big items are at stake in this game. Once again.....just because you secure the The Kraken doesn't mean you will have it for the rest of the day. That will only happen if you take measures to defend it. Remember certain things from Game 1 are transpiring off the field that could have a dramatic effect on the field in latter portions of the Op.

Lunch. We're going to allow for a two hour window here so that folks can not only digest their food but digest what intel UNITED has given them concerning the DNA from the skulls located from Game 1. My suggestion would be to bring something to the field to eat or eat in a timely manner then get back and get with your respective team and get ready for the next portion of the Op that will start promptly at 2pm.

Games 3 and 4 will run consecutive to each other. A horn blast will signal the end of game 3 and transition into 4. We have a crude 2 hour time limit set for this game but two things can change all that. If one team finds the Tactical Nuke and succeussfully launches it....that will no doubt be game over. OR the fun factor is still there and the players want to keep going if the time limit is reached the Tatical Nuke hasn't been fired yet.

This is just the outline of game. The bulk of the information for the Op itself will be given the day of the Op. The game will have more layers of strategy than normal. I don't think anyone will mind given than we're all mostly past the run of the mill death match games. If your new to the Area-13 field....your going to want to put this one down on the calendar. I'd love to see a good turnout. it's going to be ref as well as radio intensive. We had a great time brainstorming for the Op last evening and hopefully we can do this Op justice with our ambitious plans. If you have a little extra cash on hand and you don't have a radio in your kit yet......this would be a good time to add one. Very Happy

As usual the success of a good OP depends on the players. No matter how awesome an OP is, we need the players to pull it off. We as PWNY Express are doing our best to market this game, but we are counting on everyone to do their part in marketing. Market this game extensively, get the word out, bring people. The more people, the more awesome this awesome OP will be.

Agent Stark of the Kraken Guard Bureau (KGB) sat at his desk still dumbfounded as he stared at the radar screen tracking what was to be a tranpsort vehicle carrying back up agents to the Glu Valley KGB headquarters. The green pixelated triangle which served as an icon of hope on the radar screen now consisted of the message: TERMINATED. "poop" exclaimed Agent Stark while the remaining three agents looked over in his direction with a look of apprehension etched upon their collective faces. "What now?" was the only reply given by Agent Vonn. Agent Stark glanced over toward the three other agents and said in a grave voice...."We're doomed if we stay here. Both sides will be looking for the information leading to the location of the Kraken weapon as well as the QCBC's." Agent Stark rifled through the drawers at his desk before finding the Info-Pacs with the intel on the location of the QCBC and The Kraken itself. "Here...." Agent Stark tossed an Info-Pac to the other three agents. Standing up he grabbed his sidearm slamming a clip home before looking over to the other three agents. "Tuck those Info-Pacs away and grab your gear. We'll never stand a chance if we stay here. There is another transport vehicle on the way with more agents in route. They'll meet the same fate as that last transport vehicle if we don't get out there and try to assist them in getting here." As if on cue all the agents headed to their lockers to grab their gear. The once silent room was now filled with the sound of magazines being slapped into automatic weapons while the feint sound of typing on a keyboard was heard over by Agent Stark's desk. Agent Vonn was the first to leave the low slung building which served as the central field headquartes for the KGB. As the last agent exited the building pulling the door shut behind for what will be the final time, Agent Vonn states matter of factly "Keep your heads about you boys.....both sides want us.....Alive or Dead."

Just a little fiction to get folks in the mood.

Op Nine Ten Evleven.........Three Sides. Soon to be Two. Which side will come out on top? .

Really hope we get a good turn out to this game. PWNY and Area 13 is bringing the game to you, the opportunity is there, you just got to be there! I've never seen the Area 13 forums look so dead...I really hope people read our threads about upcoming games still.

A smirk played across the face of Prax as he swabbed more of the potent NCO surfactant across the petri dish. His mind wandered to the first experiment carried out when he and Professor Underwood were still working together. He felt a tinge of anger boiling up inside him at the scolding he received from the Professor upon his first attempt at creating the near lethal chemical weapon. "Underwood never did get my reasoning beihnd the creation of NCO." he said under his breath before securing the lid on the petri dish and setting inside a nearby cooling unit.

Looking over to Field Commander Hooks......"Commander Hooks, I do believe I have prefected the NCO formula. A few further tests will be required then it's new lethality will be known ." A pained expression was evident on Hook's face as he glanced up at Prax. "Something the matter Commander?" inquired Prax. Nodding, Hook's took on a more urgent tone "Sir......we may not have the itme. The squad I sent out to intercept the KGB reinforcements accomplished their task and in doing so found some intel concerning the plans of the PEW. It seems they are mobilzing for an assault into areas of the village we occupy. Not only that, but they have somehow secured or have access to their own form of NCO as well." The words no more than got out of Commader Hooks mouth than the sound of breaking glass and stainless steel instruments hitting the floor echoed thorughout the cluttered lab. "The Peoples Elite Watch.....Colonel Klaxon........These Fools need to be eradiccated once and for all. See to it that it happens Commander......If not I will see to it that your head and innards festoon my lab." The Commander knew as if by instinct that no more words needed to be spoken. A nodding gesture was made to Prax before hie took leave of the lab which sereved as a haven for Prax most of the time. Prax was never one to pass up a good fight and this time would prove no different but upon hearing the news from Commander Hooks, he knew more work needed to be done here before joining the eradication process.

Outside the lab, Hooks motioned for a couple of his closest aides to come over. Hooks speaking to the aides "Put the word out that within the hour we will begin Opeartions against the PEW. Prisoners can be taken in the early stages but make no mistake about it.....in the end all who serve that side will be wiped clean from this valley." The aides nodded and made haste toward the stronghold where the Oath Breakers resided. Hooks took in a deep breath and wondered who woulld come out on the right side of this conflict.

Next week will be te final "factions" installment from the PEW/Colonel Klaxon vantage point. Finally, I'll tie it all in with a final fiction entry to the week before the Ops. I kind of took a liking to some of the characters mentioned already. Smile Should be a fun Op...especially if folks want to fill the main roles ie: Prax, Col. Klaxon, Commander Hooks and some as of yet un-revealed folks.

As most of you know that have played in Op's I've run previously, I like to run a points system and keep a running tally of each sides points throughout the Op. This Op will be no different. Both sides will be tasked with trying to accumulate the most points. The Op will be designed to have a clear winner via the team that secures The Kraken and subsequently fires off the Tactical Nuke due to the high point total attached to it. There will be a catch to this and one that will ensure fair play by which ever side has The Kraken. One of the KGB agents (and ref) will have to comprise the fire team no matter which side has The Kraken. This will make two things happen. First, as an acting Player/Ref there will be no ensuing arguments if one side takes The Kraken from another. Secondly, the Player/Ref will have eyes on The Kraken up to and including when it is fired. This will also aid the other refs in being able to make a call as to the total area effected by the Kraken attack. If during the Op your are summoned by a ref while on the battlefield. Make sure you go over in a timely manner so the Ref can update you on the status of the area you are in. There will be quite a few weapons that will literally change the whole dynamic of the Op by virtue of area of effect damage or Bio-weapons being utilized. Arguing with any of the refs Will Not be tolerated. We'll have a plenty to keep us busy making sure those of you that come have a great time.

Again....if you have a radio bring it. If your factions commander taps you as their respective Communications Specialist embrace the position and do your level best to be clear and concise when giving out intel. Don't forget, the Communications Specialist is the only one allowed to monitor U N I T E D. Channel 13 will be the designated Ref/UNITED channel. The PEW side as well as the Oath Breakers side will have to decide on there own channel before the Op begins. As an added layer of strategy, I'm going to go ahead and allow for both factions to monitor each others channel.....if they can lock on to it. You know as well as I do that act is easier said that done. Like I said before....this game will be radio intensive. The side that communicates the best will no doubt have a clear advantage. I'll give out more information as the date nears. Op Nine Ten Eleven......Release The Kraken.

Colonel Klaxon waited as Lt. Ivan Krutzim popped out his folding chair while a few members of Krutzim's fire team roughly brought over a captured enemy scout from the Oath Breakers faction. As Colonel Klaxon lowered down into the chair he could hear the prisoner struggle before Lt. Krutzim kicked his legs out from under the scout sending him crashing into the ground. The prisoner glared first into the direction of Krutzim before letting his eyes land on the Colonel. Colonel Klaxon smiled then lit up a neatly wrapped cigar as his own gaze took in the sight of the prone enemy in front of him. "Let's not waist any time here Lt. Krutzim....administer the injection and see what we're up against or what new resource we have gained." said Colonel Klaxon. With a nod Lt. Krutzim reached a glove clad hand down into one of the untility pockets of his tactical assault pants and produced a capped syringe. Beades of sweat were now evident over the furrowed brow of the Oath Breaker scout as the tell tale greenish color inside the syriinge was now visible. In a shakey voice the prisoner began to pleade for his life "No....No....I will tell you whatever you want to know." Colonel Klaxon exhaled a large ploom of thick smoke in the direction of the downed prisoner before exclaiming "Know......We don't need to know anything information wise about you and your treacherous kind. We only need to see what happens when your injected." The Colonel no more than got the words out of his mouth before Lt. Krutzim plunged the the now un-capped syringe into the soon to be former scouts arm. Klaxon leaned up in the folding chair and stared deep into the prisoners eyes. It didn't take long for the super enriched necrotic agent within the syrum to take effect. The prisoner eyes began to crenate until they crumbled within his eye sockets. "I LIke It!" exclaimed the Colonel as he came up out of his seat watching as even more things started to go wrong with the prisoners body. Bone became brittle before turning to a soupy mixture of marrow and ooze as the prisoner looked more and more like a half man half banana peel. Within five mintues he was a pool of what used to be a man. The Colonel looked over to Lt. Krutzim....."It almost makes you miss mortar strikes and IED's doesn't it Lt.?"

The Colonel trusted Lt. Krutzim beyond compare. He knew of all the men who comprised the Peoples Elite Watch that Lt. Krutzim exemplified the best in any of them. As the pair stood over a map table at one of the home base compound the Colonel gave voice to his thoughts "Ivan....this will either be the first stages of a new era or the beginging of the end for this Valley that the Professor worked so hard to build up. Prax could care less about what the Professor was attempting to accomplish here. He's already in bed with the Outsiders. He's a fool. They just want to get hold of the technology and weaponry that's been produced here. They'll erase the Oath Breakers from the earth once they get what they want." The Lt. nodded before taking a deep breath and adding his own thoughts "We must be victorious and then make plans to secure the Valley Colonel. If we fail......all will be lost and all that has been gained by being free of the Outsiders will be forever tainted. I will have no part of that. Colonel......We Must Release The Kraken."

The stage is set.....the stakes are high. The Peoples Elite Watch and the Oath Breakers. Which side will come out on top. If your going to be part of Op Nine Ten Eleven. You get to help decide. Good luck to whichever side your on.
